Portability - information and documents required to terminate contracts

/ Updated on 07.09.2005

ANACOM has been working to resolve some problems that have come to light when users want to end their contracts with a Fixed Telephone Service operator.

With this is mind ANACOM has set out the following regulation: When a user asks to terminate a contract the operator can?t demand more documents or information than were originally presented at the time the contract was signed.

As part of their obligation to provide portability, the operators have recently sent to ANACOM details of the information and documents that each one requires for the users to contract a telephone service.

This information has been made public in order to ensure that the operators comply with the applicable rules.

ANACOM expects that this measure will improve the processes involved in portability.
