ANACOM notifies the European Commission on measures relating to relevant markets

/ Updated on 30.08.2004

ANACOM notified the European Commission (EC), on 16 July 2004, on the adopted measures relating to the definition of relevant markets for low bandwidth switched fixed services (retailers and wholesalers, excluding the transit market) and on significant market power (SMP) analysis of those markets, pursuant to article 57 of Law no. 5/2004, of 10 February (Electronic Communications Law), and within the context of article 7 of Directive 2002/21/EC.

These measures were adopted by determination of 8 July, following the inexistence of comments by the European Commission on the notices dated 25 May, which underlined the fact that ANACOM could approve the resulting draft measures, notwithstanding sending the correspondent information  to the Commission.
