ECC PT SE40 - Luxembourg

/ Updated on 30.08.2006

Project team PT SE40 met on 31 August-1 September in Luxembourg.

Four documents from France, England (from the civil aviation body and the defence ministry) and Portugal were presented and debated at the meeting. The contributions focused on three major points:

- Maximum electrical field value, consensual and set at 20 V/m;

- Interference time: France presented a study based on aircraft interference time, though it was refuted by England;

- Modification of co-ordination distances: Portugal contributed with a document that demonstrates the possibility of changing the size of the co-ordination area (area in which the localisation of VSAT/SIT/SUT/SNG terminals should be co-ordinated) without this lowering the existing protection level for radionavigation service.
