Copenhagen hosted the 20-21 January twenty-eighth meeting of project team SE 19, which focuses on fixed service (FS) matters, such as:
- Preparation of harmonised frequency plans for FS;
- Studies of new FS technologies;
- Studies of compatibility between FS and other services;
- Co-ordination of relevant activities with the Radiocommunications Sector of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU-R).
The recommendation on FWS systems between 3.4 and 3.8 GHz, document ECC/REC(04)05, was reviewed. The new version should be presented for consideration at the next meeting of the Spectrum Engineering group (WG SE) in February.
A correspondence group was set up, headed by the French representative, to draw up a possible recommendation on co-ordinating point-multipoint (MP) systems on the border.
The meeting was attended by 24 participants from 11 administrations. The next one is scheduled for 6-7 April 2005.
