ECC PT SE7 - Lisbon

/ Updated on 30.08.2006

Lisbon hosted the 5-7 December meeting of PT SE7 (group responsible for land mobile service issues). Of the three subjects mandated to the group - the use of land mobile system (GSM and UMTS, among others) terminals on board aircraft, introduction of TETRA TEDS (TETRA Enhanced Data Service) in the 400 MHz and 900 MHz bands and cross-border co-ordination methods for mobile service, the last of them saw the respective work resume due to the new version of the SEAMCAT ® tool.

Regarding the use of GSM mobile terminals on board aircraft, the results of the simulations were debated, as well as their key parameters. Note that the simulation results, given the presumptions assumed to date, have low interference probability values.
