- To eliminate the control over the apprehension of radio-communication
equipment, thus increasing the control over its respective use.´
- To simplify the administrative acts inherent to the use of amateur
stations, bearing in mind a more adequate response from the ICP (Instituto
das Comunicações de Portugal - The Portuguese Communication Institute) to
the requests of radio amateurs.
- To bring up to date the technical norms applicable to the Amateur Service.
- To alter the existing amateur categories and to introduce category D for
radio-interceptors.
