Residential Tariff for Universal Service fixed-line telephone services

By determination of 28 September 2006, approval has been given to the draft decision on the proposal by PT Comunicações to alter the residential tariff for fixed-line telephone service provided within the scope of the Universal Service. The proposal was presented to ANACOM by the company on 28 August 2006.

As set out by articles 100 and 101 of the Rules of Administrative Procedure, the draft decision, as now approved, was the object of a prior hearing of interested parties who were given a period of 20 working days to submit their comments in writing. Likewise the determination is subject to the general consultation procedure, under article 8 of Law no. 5/2004, of 10 February and the consultation procedures approved by ANACOM, with the same time limit for the submission of comments.
