By the end of 1997 ICP reported to several agents and operators its position regarding the so-called "INTERFACE EQUIPMENT BETWEEN PPCA'S AND GSM NETWORKS".

After one more year - a period of time during which evolutions occurred in some issues that, at the time, were the basis for the measures that were taken - it is important to revaluate the matter.

Whereas: 

• The ongoing development of equipment and markets, due to continuing updated and worked data collection;
• The community evolutions that will lead, at short-term, to a new legal framework for terminal equipment;
• A more effective management of the radio-electric spectrum;
• Market knowledge is more and more complete due to the appropriate analysis and treatment of reality itself, which is constantly undergoing changes, arising out, among other things, from the multiplication of players in the market;

The position taken at that time is deemed to be subject to revision, which allowed to conclude, in general terms and pursuant to the applicable legal requirements, that the equipment in question cannot be prevented from being sold.
