Specification for interim pre-selection

By decision communicated to suppliers of the Fixed Telephone Service on the 31st of May 2000, the specification for interim pre-selection was approved in the sequence to the rules established on the 12th of May for the introduction of pre-selection functions on the 1st of July 2000, in accordance with the phased schedule defined at that time. The specification approved now contains the principles and rules specifically applicable to temporary pre-selection, also establishing the automatic dialler specifications and reference values for the sharing of costs.

Therefore the conditions now exist that will enable suppliers of the fixed telephone service to guarantee fulfilment of the said schedule through the introduction of a form of pre-selection with the possibility to cancel on a call-by-call basis by dialling a short prefix.
