Statement of Compliance
By determination of 31 July 2002 and following an audit of Portugal Telecom's cost accounting system's of the 2000 financial year results, Portugal Telecom, S.A.'s cost accounting system was declared to be in compliance with the obligations laid down in Article 13 of Directive 95/62/EC, Article 18 of Directive 98/10/EC, Paragraph 3 of the Order of the Ministry of Equipment, Planning and Territorial Administration no 15021/99 (2nd Series) and the Telecommunications Prices Convention, for the purposes of the said Order and article 34 of the Regulations for the Operation of the Fixed Telephone Service (Decree-Law no. 474/99, of November 8).
