International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Standardization Seminar

To promote disclosure of ITU standardization activity, a subject of real interest both for the public sector and for the private one, was the objective of the seminar organized by ANACOM, which was held on the 25th of June in Lisbon. This seminar was attended by the Director of ITU Telecommunications Standardization Department (TSB), Houlin Zhao.

ANACOM, in its capacity as representative of the Portuguese Administration in the several international sector organizations, closely follows ITU activities, namely the ones of the Telecommunications Standardization Sector (UIT-T).

UIT-T aims at implementing the Union's standardization objectives, dealing with technical, exploitation and tariffs issues on which recommendations are adopted in order to standardize telecommunications worldwide.
