Within the framework of bidding for the attribution of licenses at a nation-wide level for the use of band frequencies for fixed wireless access, the Commission nominated to evaluate the bids presented drew up the corresponding report. Once the interested parties had been called together, this report was ratified by Despatch of the Minister of Social Equipment on 17 November, with the subsequent attribution of licenses to the following companies:

ICP must now issue the corresponding licenses so that the services in question may be fully explored as from 1 January 2000, date on which Telecommunications in Portugal will be fully liberalised.
