Set up and supply of T-DAB networks in Portugal: tenders on

31st July 1998 - rulings were issued by the Minister of Equipment, Planning and Territorial Administration for the issue of tenders for the award of two licences for the set up and supply of T-DAB (Terrestrial - Digital Audio Broadcasting) networks, one of which to cover the whole of national territory and the other 14 regional areas. These two closed tenders are promoted by ICP.

The frequency bands to be used for the installation of the networks, the legal and regulatory dispositions applicable to the tenders and the licences to be awarded may be consulted at ICP's head-officehttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1086508, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or through this linkhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=13585 (information only available in Portuguese).

The tender document may be purchased on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at ICP's head-office upon payment of PTE 100,000 (one hundred thousand Portuguese escudos) per copy plus VAT.

The closing date for the submission of bids is 45 working days after the issuance of the above mentioned rulings. The public bid opening ceremony will be held at ICP at 10 a.m. of the 5th day counting from the closing date for the submission of bids, pursuant to the contents of an official press announcement to be published by ICP.
