The Norwegian city of Kristiansand hosted from 31 March to 3 April the eighth meeting of ECC TG4, whose main aim was to complete the third and last report (Report C) this group had been assigned to produce in response to the EC mandate on various aspects involving the possible digital dividend. This report evaluates the possibility of using non-harmonised spectrum between digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) adjudications and assignments, the so-called white spots, by new/future applications or services.
It also finalised the technical roadmap, a document which includes various technical options and possible scenarios for optimising the digital dividend.
Also noteworthy was development of the document with guidelines for implementing mobile services in the 790-862 MHz sub-band.
