On a scale of 1 to 20, CTT's postal services received a classification of 14.3, in terms of the level of customer satisfaction in 2002, reveals a study of perception of quality carried out by the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM).

The study - equivalent to previous studies conducted since 1992 - aims to gauge consumer satisfaction for the postal services provided by CTT - Correios de Portugal.

The study recommends, amongst other measures, greater dissemination of information on new postal codes, characteristics, prices and quality standards of the various postal services and greater acquisition of stamps via vending machines in order to reduce queuing times in post offices.

The results were obtained from an opinion survey, conducted between April and May 2002, with a sample of 1,080 interviews.
