The 12th meeting of the ANACOM-ANATEL Coordination Commission began today in Guimarães (Portugal) and finishes tomorrow. The meeting is taking place in the context of the bilateral cooperation between ANACOM and its Brazilian counterpart, ANATEL - Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (National Telecommunications Agency).
The meeting will be attended by the chairs of both regulators, as well as by other members of ANACOM's Board of Directors and the heads of the various areas being debated. It is expected that the meeting will address the measures adopted since the 11th meeting, which was held in Brazil in October 2007, as well as the measures planned for 2009/2010. The topics on the agenda also include supervision and quality of service, spectrum management, market regulation, the universal service and international relations and cooperation.
