''Write a letter to someone to explain how decent working conditions can lead to a better life'' - this has been chosen as the theme of the 2009 Letter-Writing Competition organised by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a specialist organisation of the United Nations. The competition is promoted in Portugal as a joint initiative of ANACOM and CTT - Correios de Portugal, both of which are UPU members.
The competition is directed at young people, resident in Portugal, aged between 9 and 15 years; one of the winning letters will go on to represent Portugal at the 2009 International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People, organised by the UPU.
Entry letters must be received by 27 February 2009 (postage date stamp).
