18th ANACOM Seminar - ''Identification and Characterisation of Radio Frequency Digital Signals''

The 18^th ANACOM seminar was held at Lisbon's SANA Malhoa Hotel on 11 December at 3.30pm. The seminar saw the presentation of the study ''Identification and Characterisation of Radio Frequency Digital Signals'', authored by Manuel Carlos Baptista from ANACOM.

The evolution of analogue technology to digital brings with it considerable possibilities for innovation and improvement with respect to communications. Nevertheless, the automatic identification and characterisation of digital signals presents a challenge. The work to be presented at this seminar covers digital modulations, the advantages and applications, as well as the factors of merit for the assessment of their performance. Note is also made of the various studies carried out with the objective of developing an Automatic Classifier of the Modulation of Radio Signals.
