On 9 February 2009, UMIC - the Knowledge Society Agency released the latest data on the results of the survey that forms the basis of its annual compilation on the information society in Portugal.
This compilation was carried out in collaboration with the INE - Statistics Portugal, with data provided by the following entities, in addition to UMIC and INE: ANACOM; Education Statistics and Planning Office (GEPE) of the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of Higher Education Statistical Information Services (DSIEES) of the Office of Planning, Strategy, Evaluation and International Relations (GPEARI) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
The compiled data covers the electronic communication, the population and ICT, e-government, education and ICT training and ICT in hospitals and businesses.
