Refusal of electronic requests for portability - clarification

As a result of a question being raised by a company with obligations of portability as to the legitimacy of refusing an electronic request by a donor/holding provider when the receiving provider does not send the number of any of the subscriber's identification documents, ANACOM has deemed it necessary to clarify, specifically, that until the date on which Regulation no. 87/2009 of 18 February enters fully into force (Regulation Amending the Portability Regulation) the lack of the number of any of the subscriber's identification documents does not constitute grounds for refusing portability, whereas electronic requests shall be valid upon verification of the name of the subscriber and the corresponding telephone number.
