Dialogue on Postal regulation

On 4 and 5 March 2009, ANACOM participated in the first Postal Regulatory Dialogue organised by the Postal Regulatory Commission and held in Washington, D.C., United States. The Dialogue had the objective of promoting better sharing of information and good practice between postal regulators.

Besides ANACOM, regulators from China, Ecuador and Japan also participated in the Dialogue, together with representatives from the European Commission.

The participants had an opportunity to make a brief presentation on the status of postal reform in their country and the issues they are focusing on as postal regulators. In addition, there was discussion of issues connected with the universal service, costing methodologies and quality of service.
