Alternative Resolution of Disputes with virtual assistant

Citizens who want to learn more about alternative mechanisms for the resolution of disputes now have  a virtual assistance service, based on artificial intelligence. This service enables citizens to access information and clarifications over the Internet on alternative means of conflict resolution (mediation and conciliation, courts of arbitration and magistrate's courts).

Available on the website of the Office for Alternative Resolution of Disputes (Gabinete para a Resolução Alternativa de Litígios), Vera - SIMRAL gives information and clarification interactively about alternative mechanisms of dispute resolution, through a chat system that responds individually to the issues put by users.

In Portugal there are 18 magistrate's court, 3 public mediation systems (the Family Mediation System, the Labour Mediation System  and Criminal Mediation System), 9 Arbitration Centres supported by the Ministry of Justice and 26 legal advice offices available to citizens and, in some cases, companies to settle their disputes.
