3rd Congress of Portuguese Committee of URSI 

Lisbon, 3rd and 4th of November

The Portuguese Committee of URSI is holding its 3rd Congress, on 3rd and 4th November, on the theme ''Radiocommunications: from the Earth to the Universe''. A series of national and international works and projects, connected to the proposed theme, will be presented at the Congress.

All interested parties are invited to submit original scientific communications in the following fields:

Rules governing submission of papers:

Summaries of the communications should be submitted no later than 30 September 2009, in PDF format, by email to ursi.por@anacom.ptmailto:ursi.por@anacom.pt, identifying the applicable scientific theme. The official language of the congress is Portuguese, but communications in English and Spanish are also accepted.

This year, the Portuguese Committee of URSI, with sponsorship from ICP- Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações, inaugurated the ''URSI Portugal Research Prize'', to be awarded annually in recognition of the best research in the field of radio-electricity. The objective of this prize is to encourage creativity and rigour in Portuguese scientific research work.
