Entries to the ''URSI Portugal Research Prize'', established by the Portuguese Committee of URSI with the sponsorship of ANACOM, close on 30 September. The prize was launched with the objective of encouraging creativity and rigour in Portuguese scientific research work and is awarded in recognition of the best research in the field of radio-electricity.
The same date marks the deadline for submissions to a call for papers also launched by the Committee with the aim of promoting scientific works and encouraging the exchange of experience, especially between researchers, manufacturers and service providers.
The prize will be awarded at the 3rd Congress of the Portuguese Committee of URSI, during which the selected works will also be presented. The congress takes place on 3 and 4 November 2009 in Lisbon.
