On 29 September, in Faro, the first in a series of seminars took place on the ''New ITED and ITUR regime'' with the objective of encouraging debate and providing clarification on issues related to the new legal regimes governing Telecommunications Infrastructures in Buildings (ITED) and Infrastructures for Telecommunications in Housing Developments, Urban Settlements and Concentrations of Building (ITUR), as well as the corresponding draft manuals and technical standards.
The remaining seminars will take place in October - in Ponta Delgada on 08 October, in Porto on 15 October, in Lisbon on 22 October and in Funchal on 27 October.
With the aim of raising awareness and encouraging use by market agents, ANACOM has taken the opportunity to promote the development and register the ITED logo, available since 2005 on this Authority's website.
With the recent approval of the new ITED and ITUR legal regimes and the respective manuals and technical standards, ANACOM has promoted the creation of an ITUR logo, whose make up portrays the concepts of technology and speed and evokes a cable housing conduit.
In view of the link between the ITED and ITUR regimes, and with the aim of harmonising both logos, the ITED logo has been renewed, with a discerning choice of colour scheme and maintaining the previous lettering, which being clearly legible and elegant transmits two key ideas: modernity and flexibility.
