Application of new fees regime

By determination of 2 October 2009, ANACOM has adopted a raft of measures connected to the new fees regime which has been in force since 1 January 2009 and resulted from Administrative Rule No 1473-B/2008 of 17 December. These measures are comprised of the following:

• Approval of the calculation of the amount of costs incurred as a result of the regulation of the activity of supplier of electronic communications networks and services, which is €33,036,969;
   
• Approval of the immediate launch of an audit of suppliers of electronic communications networks and services which in 2008 posted the highest relevant revenues, and the others, to provide a sample.
   
• Approval of the immediate issue of all bills, with the exception of the annual fee due on the exercise of the activity of suppliers of electronic communications networks and services, that is, immediate issuance of bills in respect of fees for the use of numbers, radio fees, fees for the exercise of the activity of postal services and fees for the exercise of the audiotext activity.
