The Montreux Music and Convention Centre, in Montreux, Switzerland, is hosting the 15th Conference of CEPT - European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations, which begins today and focuses on the theme ''Common European Practices in Telecommunications''.
This year's event, organised by ECO - European Communications Office, is being held as part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of CEPT, which currently has 48 member states.
On the first day of the conference, there was a presentation on «The new CEPT», followed by three sessions on «Regulation or self-regulation?», «Public interface: Communications in society» and «Aspects of Internet Governance». The second day of the conference will be marked by a keynote speech made by Peter Pitsch of the Intel Corporation, followed by sessions on topics such as radio technology and future networks for future applications.
The conference concludes with a panel discussion with the participation of selected speakers and session chairmen.
