By determination of 21 October 2009, ANACOM has given approval to a draft decision on the telephone directories and information services of the Universal Service, ordering TV Cabo and PT Comunicações to take steps in order to conclude an agreement on the format and conditions for the supply of relevant information on subscribers who have expressed willingness for the inclusion of their data in the Telephone directories and information services of the Universal Service.
It is likewise set out that the companies concerned send ANACOM a copy of the concluded agreement, together with information on the respective execution. In the event that no agreement is reached, the companies are required to inform ANACOM, in a detailed and reasoned manner, of the steps taken, the difficulties encountered and their view as to how the obstacles to agreement might be overcome. Subsequently this Authority may determine the format and conditions in which such information is provided to PT Comunicações, as provider of the universal service.
As a draft decision, the parties involved were given notice of this measure so that they may respond within a period of 10 working days under the terms of articles 100 and 101 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
