Approval given to final version of the portability questionnaire

By determination of 11 November 2009, ANACOM has given approval to the final version of the questionnaire aimed at compiling information on portability. Approval was likewise given to the report of the prior hearing of interested parties, to which the respective draft report was submitted by determination of 15 July 2009.

This half-yearly questionnaire has to be completed by companies covered by the Portability Regulation: companies responsible for forwarding telephone traffic to numbers of the National Numbering Plan (NNP); companies which have numbers of the NNP, allocated in secondary assignment to their subscribers and which may be ported; and companies, which through portability, receive numbers allocated in secondary assignment by other companies.

The questionnaire consists of four parts, to be completed respectively by companies providing the Mobile Telephone Service (MTS), by companies providing the telephone service at a fixed location (FTS), by companies providing the nomadic use VoIP service and also by companies which may hold or receive ported numbers from the 800, 808, 809, 707, 708, 760, 761, 762, 71 and 884 numbering range.

This information should be sent to ANACOM no later than the 30th calendar day after the end of each half year period and reported up to the last day of the same six month period. However, information covered by question 6 of Parts I and III and by question 3 of Part III may be sent to ANACOM for first time only on 30 June 2010, in which case such information should report up to 30 June.
