ANACOM campaign on transition to DTT

From 2 January, ANACOM has begun a new phase of its awareness campaign on terrestrial digital television (DTT) in Portugal, developed by FUEL Publicidade and targeting the general public.

The goal of the campaign to is to ensure that the population knows what they need to do to so that they will still be able to watch the four free-to-air television channels once analogue television signals have been switched off and the transition made to digital television. The campaign will focus on the coastal areas of mainland Portugal affected by the first phase of the switch off taking place on 12 January.

The campaign also aims to get the entire national population ready for the switch off of analogue transmitters and relays in the rest of the country occurring on 26 April.

The new phase of the campaign will be carried out using various communication media, including television, radio, outdoor advertising and electronic platforms, and will be especially intense in the periods leading up to the switch off phases in mainland Portugal.
