ANACOM appears before Parliament in February

ANACOM, represented by its Chairman, appeared before the Assembly of the Republic on 07 February 2012, heard by the Economics and Public Works Committee's Working Group on the Liberalisation of Postal Services. The hearing took place in the context of the Group's examination and discussion of the draft of Law 35/XII/1.ª which establishes the legal regime governing the provision of postal services, in open competition, in the national territory, as well as provision of international services having origin or destination in the national territory, and which transposes Directive 2008/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 February 2008 into the Portuguese legal system.

On 15 February 2012, ANACOM's Chairman took part in the hearing called by the Assembly of the Republic's Ethics, Citizenship and Communication Committee, which focused on the deployment of digital terrestrial television, subsequent to the request to appear presented by the Bloco de Esquerda Parliamentary Group.  On the same issue, Member of ANACOM's Management Board, Eduardo Cardadeiro, took part in the parliamentary colloquium, also organised by the Ethics, Citizenship and Communication Committee.
