ANACOM has approved the designation of the National Numbering Plan (NNP) ''92'' numbering range for the mobile telephone service. A framework notice on the referred designation has been likewise approved, as it was deemed that the update of the NNP should be explained to the general market in an open and transparent fashion.
This decision, adopted on 12 July 2007, determines also the management of the ''92'' numbering range along the lines currently defined in the ''Principles and criteria for the management and allocation of numbering resources'', as well as the update of the designation ''Land Mobile Service'' at present set out in the NNP for the ''91'', ''93'' and ''96'' ranges to ''Mobile Telephone Service''.
