Universal Service of electronic communications - approval of draft law


In a cabinet meeting of 17 May 2012, the Council of Ministers approved a draft law which sets up the Universal Service of electronic communications compensation fund, which is to be used to finance the net costs incurred in the provision of the universal service.

The Government has also approved the contracting terms governing provision of this same universal services, defining the terms of the procedures of the tender to be undertaken and authorising the respective expenditure.
