A high-level meeting on 23 September 2013 will discuss disability and development, centred on the specific theme ''The way forward: a disability inclusive development agenda towards 2015 and beyond''.
In this context, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in conjunction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ICT), the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the Telecentre.org Foundation, the Broadband Commission and Microsoft, will launch a consultation on the contribution of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) to achieving the autonomous participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society.
