Tariff proposal for universal postal service - non-reserved services

By determination of 27 March 2014, ANACOM has decided not to oppose the proposed pricing of non-reserved services included in the universal service, as presented by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT).

ANACOM also authorized a reduction to the period of ten working days prior notice of the pricing given to users, as referred to in paragraph 6 of article 5 of the Convénio de Preços (Price Convention). Nevertheless, CTT is required to provide widespread disclosure at least five working days prior to the date on which the new prices enter into force, by appropriate means to inform users and market segments.

ANACOM further determined that abolition of the special arrangements for Timor-Leste in the provision of international priority and economy international mail services is to be made effective following a period of four months from its disclosure.

It was also decided to seek the opinion of ANACOM's Advisory Council.
