Objectives and rules governing density of the postal network and minimum services of CTT - hearing of users and concessionaire

By determination of 26 June 2014, ANACOM has approved a draft decision on a revised proposal of objectives and rules governing the density of the postal network and minimum services. This revised proposal was presented by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) on 29 May 2014, following ANACOM's rejection of CTT's first proposal by determination of 10 April.

ICP-ANACOM considered that the proposal does not yet correspond to the needs of users under the terms of the current legal framework, and decided:

  • to set density objectives as regards postal establishments and other points of access to the postal network comprising the concession;

  • to set objectives and minimum offers of services, including rules on minimum periods of operation of postal establishments.

This draft decision is subject to the prior hearing of CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) and the hearing of users, whereby interested parties wishing to comment are given 20 days to respond. Comments should be sent, no later than 28 July, by email to consulta.rede.ctt@anacom.ptmailto:consulta.rede.ctt@anacom.pt1. Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses, excluding any items considered confidential.
