By determination of 21 August 2014, ANACOM has approved a draft decision regarding the information on coverage, quality of service and site sharing policy, to be submitted to ANACOM by companies holding rights of use of frequencies for the provision of terrestrial electronic services communications (applicable to the following titles: ANACOM no. 01/2012, ANACOM no. 02/2012 and ANACOM no. 03/2012, allocated respectively to Optimus - Comunicações, MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais).
This draft decision results from the need to modify and replace the annual questionnaire approved by ANACOM determination of 17 November 2011, in order to properly monitor the coverage obligations currently associated with the rights of use of frequencies allocated prior to the multiband auction, which, at present, can also be fulfilled by means of the rights of use of frequencies allocated following the multiband auction.
It was also decided to submit this draft decision to a prior hearing of interested parties for a period of 20 working days under the terms of the Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code). Any transmitted indication of confidentiality of information must comply with the requirements set out in paragraph 3 of article 108 of Law no. 5/2004 of 10 February and in ANACOM determination of 17 November 2011 on indication of confidentiality in information submitted to the regulator.
