Support components service - clarification

As a result of queries that have arisen with respect to the application of the service of support components, which according to PT Comunicações (PTC) will have its scope limited to those local exchanges that constitute interconnection geographic points, ANACOM issued a clarification on 5 March 2007, which was communicated PT Comunicações (PTC) on the same date, and in which it is clarified that:
a) At no time did this Authority limit the application of the service of support components to the local exchanges that constitute interconnection geographic points (IGP) as identified in the Reference Interconnection Offer (RIO);
b) The scope of the application of the service of support components includes the scope of the application of both the leased lines interconnection service (i.e. building containing a terminating section) and the components for interconnection service (in accordance with the definition set out, at any given time, in the RIO and/or the Leased lines reference offer (LLRO).
