At an ordinary meeting held on the 2nd of June 1999, the Board of Directors of the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal decided to make the following changes to the frequencies plan under the terms of paragraph j) of no. 1 of article 7 of Decree-Law no. 283/89https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=974432 dated on 23rd August and articles 21 and 22 of Decree-Law no. 381-A/97 dated on 30th December:

1. The following frequencies shall be reserved for local access by radio:

a. 1880 - 1900 MHz with the use of DECT technology;

b. 3600 - 3800 MHz;

c. 24,5 - 26,5 GHz:

d. 27,5 - 29,5 GHz.

2. The 1880 - 1900 MHz range will become an extension or integral part of a telecommunications network with a view to supplying final client services.

3. All other frequencies referred to in point 1 will become an extension or integral part of a telecommunications network that includes other signal transport infrastructures with a view to supplying final client services.

4. The attribution of frequencies within the 1880 - 1900 MHz range will be governed by that laid down in Decree-Law no. 381-A/97 dated on 30th December,in accordance with the full accessibility regime, with the exclusion of the use of these frequencies to complement mobile communications systems.

5. The attribution of all other frequencies will be governed by that laid down in Decree-Law no. 381-A/97 dated on 30th December, in accordance with the regime of the invitation for tenders.

6. The conditions necessary for the attribution of frequencies in the 1880 - 1900 MHz range and the procedures to be adopted for the instruction of the respective request contained in the DECT licensing document - local access by radio, can be obtained from the public attendance service at the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal head office at Avenida José Malhoa, no. 12, 1070 Lisbon, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
