It will only be possible to develop and fully implement the planned national networks for mobile reception after the switch off of analogue television broadcasts, scheduled for 2012, in accordance with the Geneva Plan of 2006.
In view of the interest shown by the market in developing a network for this technology in the near future, i.e. before 2012, ICP-ANACOM carried out an assessment in 2008 of available spectrum for the transitional operation of a network of this kind in mainland territory before this date.
