BEREC Contact Network meeting - Luxembourg


The BEREC Contact Network held a meeting last 5-6 May in Luxembourg.

The expert working groups (EWGs) reported on the status of ongoing work, specifically: the proposed monitoring of broadband common positions and the current situation regarding non-discrimination and the cost of non-Europe, or roaming data collection and the report on roaming conformity; article 7 procedures, inclusion of the BEREC Regulations in the EEA Agreement and BEREC's role during phase I of the article 7 notifications, a report on broadband commercialisation aspects; the proposed Commission recommendation on universal service and broadband promotion; and the report on mobile termination rates (MTR) - a report was also presented on a proposed questionnaire for fixed termination rates (FTR). Lastly, the response to the European Commission’s questionnaire on net neutrality and switching was debated.
