The IRG plenary meeting was held last 26 May in Porto, where the 2011 accounts and proposed 2012 budget were presented. Also discussed were relations between BEREC's common positions on remedies and the European Commission recommendations, and the contributions BEREC is to send regarding the Commission’s proposed guidance on universal service. Regarding roaming, a strategy discussion was held on the future of roaming regulation.
The plenary session was preceded on 25 May by a workshop on convergence between the energy and electronic communications sector and the role of national regulatory authorities (NRAs), with speeches given by representatives of the Swiss and Austrian NRAs.
