On 22 March in the Azores and Madeira two information sessions were held marking the final transition to digital terrestrial television (DTT) in all the islands of both archipelagos.
In Azores the ceremony was held at 10:45 am, at the Royal Garden Hotel, in Ponta Delgada, and was attended by the Vice-President of ANACOM, Alberto Souto de Miranda, and Paulo Menezes, representing the Regional Government and the Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures.
In Madeira the ceremony was held at 11:45 am, at the Pico do Silva transmitter, in Camacha, attended by a member of ANACOM's Management Board, Eduardo Cardadeiro, and by Regional Secretary for Education and Human Resources, Jaime de Freitas.
