The Contact Network of the Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG) met last 10-11 December in Lisbon, where documents for presentation and approval at the next plenary meeting were prepared, specifically the reports from workshops held in 2012, the 2012 benchmarking report and the 2013 activities plan. Also considered were issues such as European Commission (EC) financing of EMERG and bilateral relations with BEREC, as well as EMERG’s future prospects. Internal documents were also examined, such as the rules and procedures of the permanent secretariat. The regulators to be responsible for the Group’s chair and vice-chair in 2013 were presented, respectively ANACOM and the Jordanian regulator TRC.
The next EMERG plenary meeting, overseen by ANACOM, will be held on 20-21 February in Lisbon.
