The Technical Regulatory Issues project team (PT TRIS) of the ECC working group on Numbering and Networks (WG NaN) met last 19-20 March in Kristiansand, Norway, at the invitation of that country's regulator, the Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority (NPT).
The following topics were discussed at the meeting:
- preparation of the report on telecommunications infrastructure mapping;
- completion after public consultation of the report on quality of service (QoS) for home users;
- presentation of European regulators' QoS evaluation tools;
- current status of the report on emergency call localisation precision;
- status of switch from the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to next generation networks (NGN) and regulatory implications.
This working group's next meetings should be held in May and September 2013.
