Service suspension with new rules

New rules governing the suspension of services take effect on 28 April 2013, aiming at reinforcing consumer protection in the scope of electronic communication contracts, promoting the timely fulfilment of these contracts and avoiding accumulation of consumer debt, in compliance with Law No 10/2013, published on 28 January.

As such, ANACOM has made available, through the Consumer Portal, a group of questions and answers that reflect the situations in which electronic communications services (fixed and mobile telephone, internet and television) may be suspended, including procedures to prevent or redress situations of suspension.

By providing this information, ANACOM seeks to ensure that users are adequately informed about their rights within the framework of service suspension.
