Following ANACOM determination of 16 May 2013, which defined the model for the development of Portugal's digital terrestrial television network (DTT), associated with multiplexer A (MUX A), by determination of 4 July 2014, ICP-ANACOM has approved the draft decision on the definition of terrestrial coverage obligations to be included in the right of use of frequencies DUF ICP-ANACOM no. 06/2008) allocated to PT Comunicações (PTC), under the terms defined in the present determination.
In particular, PTC remains bound to fulfil the obligations of coverage by digital terrestrial broadcasting, as now established at municipality level, with the associated statistical margins of error also defined.
It was decided to submit this draft decision to the prior hearing of PTC for a period of 20 working days, counted from the date of its notification, and also to the general consultation procedure, as laid down in article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law - Law no. 5/2004 of 10 February, as amended and republished by Law no. 51/2011 of 13 September), whereby interested parties are also given a period of 20 working days to comment. Responses must therefore be received no later than 7 August 2014, and should be sent by email to obrigacoes.tdt@anacom.ptmailto:obrigacoes.tdt@anacom.pt1.
Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses excluding items considered confidential.
