By decision of 23 April 2015, ANACOM has approved the launch of a public consultation on the availability of spectrum in the 3.4-3.8 GHz frequency band.
This consultation is based on the principle of effective and efficient use of frequencies, which is central to the allocation of these resources and which requires that allocated frequencies be effectively and efficiently used in accordance with the conditions laid down in allocation act.
ANACOM seeks to compile opinions from various market participants (including manufacturers, operators, private and public entities and users) on use of spectrum available in the 3.4-3.8 GHz frequency band. The compiled opinions will then be taken into consideration when deciding on how and on what terms this spectrum is to be made available.
Interested parties are given a period of 20 working days in which to submit comments. Comments should therefore be sent, no later than 25 May 2015, by email to consulta3.6GHz@anacom.ptmailto:consulta3.6GHz@anacom.pt1. Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses, excluding any items considered confidential.
