Paris hosted last 23 September a meeting of the Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) working group responsible for revising the Radio Spectrum Policy Programme (RSPP).
The meeting served to finalise the proposed opinion on implementation of the current RSPP and corresponding revision for the next period, taking into account comments received during the summer and during the meeting itself. The approved document will be submitted to the next RSPG plenary meeting for approval and forwarding for public consultation.
There was a preliminary exchange of impressions about the future telecom framework review (TFR), the first discussion about the public consultation launched by the European Commission (EC), and some areas of interest were identified regarding radio spectrum management issues.
A decision was also made to draw up by correspondence a strategy document on TFR which can be submitted for approval to the February 2016 meeting. That document will be coordinated by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France.
