The Postal Directive Committee met on 14 December 2015 in Brussels, focusing on the discussion of initiatives envisaged by the European Commission (EC) in the communication on the digital single market (DSM) concerning cross-border parcel delivery. Presentations were also given concerning the fifth report on implementation of the Postal Directive, the current status of trade negotiations for postal and courier services and reform in the scope of the Universal Postal Union (UPU); the subject of postal statistics was also discussed.
